Job Description:

  • About the job*
  • Listen to songs across many genres and cultures.
  • Produce short paragraph descriptions that summarise:
  • - The arrangement and composition- Key sonic elements and instrumentation- Genre and stylistic characteristics- Production and mixing qualities- Vocal style and expression- Emotional or atmospheric qualities
  • Write or verbally record descriptions in fluent English.
  • Follow internal guidelines to ensure annotations are consistent, structured, and easy to understand.
  • Meet quality standards and deadlines for weekly annotation tasks.

What We Are Looking For*

  • Strong English skills: fluent, clear, and comfortable describing creative work.
  • A good understanding of music: how songs are structured, how instruments and vocals work, how genres differ.
  • Ability to listen carefully and describe what you hear in simple, well-organised language.
  • Comfortable working with repetitive listening tasks.
  • Ability to follow guidelines and deliver consistent results.
  • Experience in music performance or audio content creation.
